Beachin’ It ! If you can afford it, I definitely recommend renting a beach house — small or large. You can’t go wrong! I did not think that we would be able to afford a rental beach house that year. I had had major surgery that was unexpected. It had cost thousands of dollars in co-pay alone with months of recovery. With diligence and research, we found an awesome home with a pool right on the ocean in Kaui for a reasonable price.
I love rental beach houses, and have a passion for swimming. My friend suggested that we rent a vacation house with a pool right on the ocean. My friend and I always had very different tastes in vacation destinations, but nonetheless both of us always ended up on the beach. Without further ado, I called him up and asked if he was interested in renting a beach houses in Kaui. He found an awesome deal on a gorgeous, huge home, with a beautiful pool at the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean. Perfect!
I had wanted to go to a rental beach house, because it had been a stressful year. Without a little bit of time to relax on the beach, unwinding as the waves rushed in and out, I knew I would go back to work uptight and be less productive. The week at a rental beach house was such a long-standing tradition that it seemed like a shame to miss it. I found out that we could actually go to a rental beach house, I was overjoyed.
It was gorgeous. It was actually three stories high. There was only the two of us, so we didn’t need a larger rental beach house than normal. But since we were lucky to get a good rate on it, and it was fun place, we took it. We had plenty of room to invite my friend’s brother for a few days as well.
Other fun options aside from beach rentals, and the standard hotel, resort or inn, may include tree houses and cruises! Next time, I’d like to rent a cozy, little tree house in a jungle like my brother and his wife did in Dominica. Looks so primal and adventurous! I need nothing more than a comfy hammock, a balmy breeze, calming view, and tranquil sounds of the ocean below to lull me to sleep.
