Cabo San Lucas, a resort city on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula, is known for its beaches, water-based activities and nightlife. Playa El Médano is Cabo’s main beach, with outdoor restaurants and numerous bars. Past the marina is Land’s End promontory, site of Playa del Amor (Lover’s Beach) and El Arco, a natural archway in the seacliffs.

Cabo is a favorite destination, especially folks in the west coast. It’s a quick, cheap flight, and one doesn’t need much money to have a great time. Granted, when I went there, I stayed in the 5 star resort for a convention; however, if I’d return, I’d camp on the beach or stay in a quaint little bed and breakfast.

Cabo has a sweet, simple, little and very modest town — a far cry from the 5 star resort I stayed in! The locals are not wealthy, by far. They are gracious and very amiable with each other and all the touristas. Cabo is truly a comfortable, fun, laid back place to visit, again and again!
